It rankles to hear Lisa dismiss most or all of the approaches to writing which are not her own, but I did buy the book after listening to this episode. Based on Jennifer's comments, I was expecting something akin to Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain for writers. Story Genius does not build on neurological research to that degree, but it does outline methods and points of emphasis that intrigue. I enjoyed it, and I'd recommend it to others still refining their own process.

I loved Lisa Cron's book. On my second time through it.
Like anything, take away from it what resonates with you and leave what doesn't but this book has helped me hugely in developing the "Third rail" for my manuscript and how the events shape the protagonist through their responses.

I highly recommend "Story Genius" the neuroscience is particularly fascinating...
